Journaling is as effective as talk therapy. It improves your self awareness, emotional intelligence and a cathartic process.
Eat healthy. Avoid processed foods, baked goods, high fructose drinks, refined flour and high carbohydrates. More Omega 3s, lean meat, poultry, fish, whole grain, quinoa, lentils, fruits and vegetables.
Good sleep hygiene. Sleep at the same time +/- 20 minutes on work day as well as weekends. Bedroom is for sleep and or sex. Keep electronic devices out of the room.
Mindful walking: It's healthy for the mind, reduces the cortisol, reduces stress, increases your well being, and cognitive reserves.
Set healthy boundaries: Learn to say No.
Cook therapy is self rewarding and savoring the food is practising self compassion.
Decluttering your environment for ten to fifteen minutes. Minimalism is healthy for the mindset.
Increasing self compassion. The act of mindfulness by repeating as you imagine yourself, inhale and peacefully say these words to yourself:
- May I be free from suffering.
- As you exhale, peacefully say these words to yourself:
- May I be at peace
- Practice this for five to ten minutes.
